In keeping with my strange obsession with street details, here is a five gallon gas can I made for my tiny fueling station.
It’s a new mesh made from resources I found online that were designed for 3D printing. (It was enormous in real life!) Originally, the huge, untextured mesh just had the can and nozzle shapes. But, my sims can’t have an open gas can lying about! So, I created a cute little stopper for it. It’s a sculpture for $44. (I typically make my deco stuff $44 so it’s always easy to find. I don’t care about prices, but, if you do, feel free to change mine.)
For me, this is strictly an outdoor item, and the game generates very nice outdoor shadows automatically, so I didn’t bother to make a custom indoor shadow for this. Not, yet, anyway. If I decide to have a garage or something, I will.
This one sits at ground height. (My original is at the height I needed to place it on my fuel island.) I have plans for other versions, sizes, etc., but this one is more better for sharing. 🙂
Gas pumps and station sign in picture are a combo of Lithium’s pump and sign meshes, Psychosims grunge colors, and my green recolors.
